Houston City Hall on a Weekend Morning

The current Houston City Hall was built in 1939. The need to move from Market Square to a new building and civic area was identified in the late 1920's, but the Great Depression slowed the process of commissioning this Art Deco style building.
The building is lit up in the evening with different color lights depending on the season or specific occasion.
On Fall Wednesday's, the courtyard hosts a farmer’s market at lunch time.
